Hi, my name is Murphy…or Murph, Murph Man, Mr. Murphy, Dude or Buddy…I have a lot of names…it’s a little confusing at times. I’m an 18-month-old energetic puppy and I’m a pretty good boy, although I still know all about mischief. But I like to concentrate on good things…for example, I have lots of love and energy to share. When I first came to GR, I had eaten some clothing items and that was a real no-no. I also had a seizure. My vet actually thinks I was really hungry and was looking for anything to fill my tummy. He also thought my seizure was stress-related. Since then, I haven’t eaten anything strange because I now get lots of food and I’ve had no seizures, likely because I feel safe and secure. Speaking of food…do you like food? ME TOO!!! Actually, I don’t LIKE food…I LOVE food. I also love meeting new people and dogs. Even cats are fine with me but most of them don’t want to play with me…so I think they’re silly. I love my exercise and play time (especially playing chase) but when we’re both tired, we can grab a nap together…I love those too! I’m learning lots of stuff quickly and doing really well according to my amazing foster family. I have lots of puppy energy so I’d do best with an active family. It would also be good if someone was home most of the time to make sure I don’t get into any trouble, like eating something I shouldn’t. Mind you, lately I tend to chew those things rather than eat them but you might not be thrilled with that either. I think I’m growing up and getting a little smarter…here’s hoping! Here’s what my foster dad says about me: “Murphy is a very friendly, happy, and loveable pup who still needs to finish his training and with patience, love, and consistency, he will become his best self.” Thanks for that and, by the way, you forgot to mention how much I love my food (heehee).
