Wake up Maggie
I think I got something to say to you…

Oh, hi everyone. I was just having a snooze and remembered my amazing foster dad asked me to tell you a bit about myself. It appears I’m ready to find my forever family. For me, that’s a really scary thing. I am afraid of a lot of things so with new stuff, you’ll need to be patient with me. As you probably guessed, my name is Maggie and I’m 5 years old. I have suffered a lot of trauma ~ I am very unsure about everyone and everything. I am doing a LOT better with my foster family but it takes me a long time to get comfortable with new people, environments or experiences. For example, the leash thingy is getting better. I’m not a fan of big walks. I see a walk as a way to do my business and come home, so if you’d like a girl who is rather low energy and happy just hanging with you, then I might be your girl. I like men a LOT more than I like women. For some reason, it takes me a long time to warm to women but I like men immediately (I’m sure I came upon this honestly). Because of this, I need to be in a home with predominantly or entirely males. Also, I’m fine with other dogs but I don’t like high energy or noisy dogs. I don’t particularly like small children or cats either and I thrive in a calm environment. I’d prefer a cozy environment and will find the smallest corner or under a bed/chair/table that I can fit under. I have a favourite bed that is my safe space that my fosters say I can take with me. I am very gentle with my treats and you can certainly touch me anywhere. Loud noises don’t bother me and the doc says I’m a healthy girl. Here’s what my foster dad says about me: “Maggie is the sweetest girl who is so easy to love. She has suffered in her previous life so she needs a stable, patient, quiet, male-oriented home to feel comfortable and secure. She is happiest cuddling and hanging out quietly in her home. Yes, this is accurate and I do love to cuddle. I do love calm and I do love men. Oh yes, and I do love Rod Stewart too (teehee).
