Hi everybody, I’m Sammie and I’m a boy who’s almost four years old. When I first arrived in Golden Rescue’s care, I was pretty stressed and nervous. Everything was so new to me so I was afraid of a lot of things. With the help of my amazing foster family, I have come a long way. I love meeting people and instantly go everyone for pets and their attention. I do love my family and I love being made a fuss over. I generally love people, other dogs, and even cats are fine with me. I do have a bit of leash aggression when I meet some new dogs but that is improving as my leash and socialization training continues. I’m not yet a superstar on the leash but I am starting to get the hang of it. I am pretty active and I love the great outdoors; however, I can also be a couch potato…so I’m totally flexible. In fact, I’m up for doing whatever you want as I can be described as a Velcro boy. You can touch me almost anywhere…but I don’t really like you touching my paws. I’m not a fan of loud noises but I don’t run away either. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me and the doc says I’m a healthy boy. I do love playing in the backyard so a family with a big fenced yard would be ideal. I’m not a huge fan of the car but it’s because I wasn’t exposed to it until recently. I have been described as a very gentle, cuddly boy so if that sounds appealing to you, I may be the one for you. I would love to meet you. I will be the one playing and acting like a big goofball in the yard.
