Hi everyone in GoldenRescueLand…my name is Millie and I’m an 8-month-old pup. You folks are the absolute best and I’m so grateful you rescued me. I was a stray ~ smelly, tick ridden, and scared. With the help of my amazing foster family, I got cleaned up and made to feel welcome, safe, and loved. What a wonderful feeling. I can still get nervous in new situations but overall, I’m so much better. I love being part of a pack. Right now, my foster canine cousins are showing me the ropes and I’m getting the hang of everything pretty well. I love playing and being mentored by another dog. After all, I’m still a pup and I know I have a lot to learn so watching how other dogs behave is the best way for me to get educated. Plus, I just feel happier in the company of another pup or two. I’m getting pretty good on that leash thing. My mom says I don’t pull because I never want to be far away from her. I think she’s right! I love playing with sticks almost as much as I love food. I am not a big barker. I love people, other dogs, and even cats will probably be okay with me. I have lots of puppy energy but I’m also a big cuddler. The doc has given me 100% on my test and he says I’m really well behaved for my age. Here’s what my foster mom says about me: “Millie is the sweetest foster we’ve ever had. She is a fluffy cuddler who loves to kiss and play with her siblings and is forever grateful to have a home, food, and love. She will be your best friend forever.” Thanks mom and just like Randy Newman says:
You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And you’re miles away from your nice warm bed
Just remember what your old pal said
You’ve got a friend in me.
