To the Golden Rescue community:
The rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is unsettling and changing the operations of many organizations, businesses, schools and workplaces on a daily basis. There is a great deal of uncertainty and we would like you to know that the health and well being of our volunteers, families and our rescue community is of the utmost importance to Golden Rescue.
Since the risk associated with the coronavirus emerged, we have taken action consistent with guidance from Health Canada and WHO. We have reinforced hygiene protocols, suspended our international rescue mission and paused our upcoming events.
We can’t fathom the thought of not being able to continue our rescue efforts completely, so we have modified our operation practices and implemented even stricter protocols. First and foremost, we want every single volunteer to feel safe and comfortable to say no to anything we may ask of them.
We are proactively managing our operations and reevaluating our practices daily.
We remain committed to keeping you informed while supporting our volunteers, families and our rescue community. You will find new information posted at www.goldenrescue.ca as it becomes available.
