GOOD AS GOLD TRAINING CONFERENCE ~ WEBINAR #3

Sunday, January 17th ~ 12:30pm EST start time

Code for Email Subject Line and Etransfer: JUMPING

JUMPING UP, COUNTER SURFING, AND GENERALLY GETTING INTO THINGS THEY SHOULD NOT!

Does your dog jump up on you and other people? While we as owners may not (really) mind, other people may not always welcome this behaviour. Lynda will discuss how to stop your dog from doing this, and then will continue her talk into the other type of jumping up – counter surfing! Taking items they should not, whether it be from the counter, your hands, the garbage, or anywhere else, will be addressed. If time permits, Lynda will touch on providing your dog with safe chewing alternatives.

PRESENTER ~ Lynda Kitson

Lynda has been involved with dogs all her life and has attended various dog training schools. In 2006 she came to classes at Who’s Walking Who Dog Training Centres. After showing her skills in training her own dog, Lynda was asked to join their team as a Trainer. She later developed their Freestyle Obedience courses.

In 2018, Lynda became the new owner of Who’s Walking Who which provides dog training classes in both Durham Region and Toronto and has been in business since 1989. Her own dogs have been trained in Obedience, Freestyle Obedience, Rally Obedience, Tricks, Agility and Scent Detection. Her dogs also performed with the WoofJocks Canine All Stars.

Lynda is continually upgrading her knowledge in dog training and behaviour and was recently certified as a Pro Dog Trainer through Absolute Dogs. Lynda is also a Certified Walks ‘N’ Wags Pet First Aid Instructor and founded K9 Compass in 2012 through which she conducts Pet First Aid classes throughout southern Ontario.

She and her husband are active volunteers with Golden Rescue and Lynda writes articles for their newsletter, The Guardian. They currently have 3 Golden Retrievers – Augie (a rescue), Star and Tula.
