RECALL, PREY DRIVE, AND “OMG WHAT IS THAT”?
Good recall is essential for your dog’s safety, especially for those times your dog may be off leash whether it be in a park or just in your yard. Teaching this can be challenging at the best of times, but even more so if your dog has a high prey drive. Peter will guide us through some of these challenges and gives us some tips for success. Another important command is teaching your dog not to pick up “things” while out on walks or stay away from things which could be dangerous/harmful to your dog.
Peter has been training dogs for more than 20 years. He has developed an exceptional understanding of canines through years of study as well as many years of hands-on work experience.
Peter is passionate about improving the quality of life for his clients, both dogs and their owners, and he takes particular joy in teaching people how to communicate with their pets – essentially, how to read and speak the language of “Dog”. With extensive training and experience in animal care ranging from nutrition to obedience, Peter is an extremely competent and qualified teacher to team with you – and your dog – to address obedience and behavioural issues or concerns.
