Wilbur #0625

Gender: male

Status: adopted

Wilbur came to the family that will love him forever on March 3rd, 2006. He was energetic, insecure, and desperately in need of reassurance. Since that day he has blossomed into an incredibly handsome and affectionate fellow. He is gentle and sweet without ever having lost his moxie. He is curious and full of mischief. When the satellite was down one evening, we decided to just sit and watch Wilbur. He entertained us thoroughly!! He is his own little movie! Wilbur has a busy life. During the week he goes to a therapist’s office and sleeps at the feet of patients while they talk through their problems. He seems to sense when to snuggle up very close. On the weekends, he enjoys the leisurely life of Balsam Lake. He is in love with his big sister, Mabel, and never tires of Elsa, the 22-year-old cat.

Update: At the age of 8 Wilbur continues to have a positive impact on all who meet him. He still works as a Psychological Therapy Dog and currently cuddles with patients suffering from severe PTSD. His presence in Soldiers sessions helps to alleviate their stress. Wilbur also spends his down time cuddling with the new rescue kittens; Waldorf & Mortimer
