Bailey #1274

Gender: male

Status: adopted

Bailey came to us in December 2009, two weeks after we lost our twelve year old Golden.  It was obvious that he had suffered some form of abuse as he was very timid around men, afraid of sudden movement and very skittish on our walks.  He was very cautious of anyone new, especially men.  But it didn’t take long for all of that to change.  He soon learned to trust my husband and is now his best buddy.  With time and patience he learned to trust other male family members and friends and those we met on our walks.

Bailey is a wonderful boy – affectionate and just a big puppy who loves to play with his “stuffies”. He is a real “home body” and is most happy when at home with his family.  We can’t imagine life without him.  He is inquisitive with our new granddaughter and we except that they will be great buddies as she gets older.  We are grateful to his foster mom Suzanne and Golden Rescue for allowing us to have Bailey as part of our family. Thanks to West Main Veterinary Clinic for their exceptional care of Bailey and to Lynn of Lynn’s Pet Grooming for her dog training – he came 1st in his class!
