Sandy #1943

Gender: female

Status: adopted

Our entire family was so thrilled to get the call from Golden Rescue about adopting Sandy. On our drive to meet Sandy at her foster home, we all had butterflies with excitement. We already could sense that she was the one. It didn’t take long for us to realize what an angel she is. She fit right in with her 12-year-old Golden sister Kelly as they share similar personalities. Sandy is a very happy, cuddly girl and loves belly rubs, kisses and hugs. She is also getting used to being a pillow for Kelly when they are napping on the bed. The ‘girls’ get along well and her senior sister will even play wrestle with her to Sandy’s delight. We were told that Sandy was a ‘disaster’ on the leash but we are happy to report that she is a quick learner and with the gentle leader she is doing a great job. Our 11-year-old son is even able to walk her now. On our walks, Sandy is meeting many new friends within the neighbourhood and is becoming quite popular with the younger dogs and has already had some scheduled ‘play dates’. We are excited for this summer to introduce Sandy to life on Manitoulin Island so that she can experience swimming and boating. I am sure she will make a good 1st mate! Thanks Golden Rescue for all that you do.
