Tigger #2291

Gender: male

Status: adopted

We moved to our new hobby horse farm with our eight year old golden girl, Katie. Unfortunately 6 months after making the farm our home, Katie passed away suddenly of cancer. At the time we couldn’t bear the thought of another dog in her place. As time passed, we realized that a farm is not a farm without a dog as so much enjoyment was had by Katie on the farm. We reached out to Golden Rescue in an attempt to fill the void. One day we received great news that we were being considered for a rescue from Istanbul. The days could not go by fast enough before we got to go to the airport mission number 3 to meet our new family member Tigger. We met so many wonderful caring volunteers and were treated so well by the airport staff. Everyone made us feel welcome and special. We brought Tigger home to meet his four legged cat siblings and he eventually got to meet his two horse sisters. He did not know what to make of those rather large creatures! He has bonded well with all of the humans and animals alike and the healing of losing Katie began. He loves his morning walks down to the creek where he has discovered frogs. He also chases the ducks and squirrels. He is enjoying exploring the property and discovering Canadian wildlife. He has settled in nicely and we love our cuddle time on the bed. You should hear the snoring! We decided to keep his name as it is appropriate as he has a little bounce when he runs (and boy can he run!). We look forward to many years and adventures with our boy. Heartfelt thanks for allowing us the opportunity to adopt Tigger!
