My girl Charlie was named Minnie and I was supposed to adopt her on July 28th. The date changed to July 30th, which was my late husband’s birthday. I picked her up in Kingston and the driver I met was named Tom (my late father–in–law’s name) and the other Golden with him was Carma (which was my husband’s grandmother’s name). If this wasn’t fate, I don’t know what was. Charlie has adapted well ~ loves everyone and has become quite a cuddler. She recently went on a 13–hour road trip with me to New Brunswick with no problem at all. Mind you, after her grueling trip halfway around the world, New Brunswick probably felt like next door. Adopting Charlie from Golden Rescue was the best decision I’ve ever made.
