Our relationship with Stevie truly is a love story. When she arrived in Canada, we gave her the name Stevie but sometimes we’re convinced she thinks her name is ‘Good Girl’. She responds well to either which is great. Her Cairo Golden neighbour Abbey is a constant companion. In fact, if it wasn’t for Abbey, Stevie might not be in our home. Abbey’s family introduced us to GR, which eventually led to Stevie arriving here. Stevie’s tough days on the streets of Cairo have been replaced with days filled with cuddles, snacks, belly rubs, trail hikes, naps, and more treats and cuddles. Perhaps her favourite pastime is lounging on the sun deck after chasing chipmunks and birds. Ah, life is grand and one thing is certain…she is home!
