#3766 Cairo
Gender: female
Hello…my name is Cairo. I’m a Golden and I’m around two years old. I recently traveled from Egypt to Canada on a large plane, thanks to Golden Rescue. Wow, what a long trip that was. When I arrived in Toronto, I was introduced to my new parents. I was so happy to see them, especially when they gave me food and water (like I said, it was a l-o-n-g trip). When we finally got home, I met my new sisters, Bailey and Blondie. They are seven-and-a-half-year-old English Goldens and they are really nice. When I was in Egypt, I lost part of my back left foot so stairs were a challenge for me. Everyone was so patient helping and teaching me and now I have mastered them like a stair expert. I really love Canadian food and I am very polite. My sisters and I sit side-by-side and wait for our treats and sometimes mom or dad will give us each a very small piece of their toast in the morning. I enjoy my walks and I am really great with the leash. My sisters are bigger and faster than me (they have four good legs), so mom takes them much farther than me for now. When I’m at home, I have to make sure that I’m close to dad, so I follow him around a lot. We love to watch football together. Mom and dad are trying to find me a prosthetic for my foot. They said it will really help me walk, especially with those stairs. I have some trouble on the hardwood and tile floors, I find them slippery, but I am great on carpet or outside. I am young and invincible now; however, dad says my hips and knee will get sore when I get older if I don’t get that foot thingy. I love my new family and am so grateful to everyone at GR for getting me to Canada. I am the luckiest Golden in the world!
نبح (that’s Arabic for bark)
