Andy #3844

Gender: male

Status: Adopted

Andy (previously Cheesecake) is just the sweetest boy. While I don’t know what the first 18 months of his life were like, I do know that the rest of his life will be full of love and adventure. Andy loves a good belly rub, to play, and going on walks (and doesn’t even complain when I put his booties on). He thinks snow is pretty cool and fun to jump into. Stairs are a bit scary since he doesn’t have the best eyesight but as long as his seeing-eye human (me) is by his side, he does just fine. Everyone who has met him just adores him and would like to steal him. Andy has already brought so much joy to my life and I can’t thank Golden Rescue enough for all of the amazing work you do. Andy’s name is inspired by the song ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’, which I’ve always thought perfectly describes the unconditional love that dogs give.

Some other folks might be a little bit smarter than I am

Bigger and stronger too maybe

But none of them will ever love you the way I do

It’s me and you, boy

And as the years go by

Our friendship will never die

You’re gonna see, it’s our destiny

You’ve got a friend in me
