Canada’s Dog Ban: Click here to find out how you can help.
Willow #4272

Gender: female

Status: Adopted

Last fall, after losing our family dog, we decided to look at getting another rescue. Many people in our neighbourhood have adopted from Golden Rescue so we decided to put in a request to adopt before the ban came into place. It all took place very quickly and we were a bit apprehensive until the volunteer driver pulled up in our driveway and out jumped Chestnut, now called Willow. She was so excited she ran like crazy around the front yard as if she was finally free. We had a senior cat and, while we were told she was cat savvy, we were a bit worried about this. It didn’t take long before they were the best of friends. Willow has adapted so nicely to our home and everyone in the neighbourhood loves her. She thinks the Canadian winters are the best thing ever and she loves doing zoomies in the snow. She is at her happiest sitting at the front door or window of our home watching the world go by. I couldn’t imagine life without her as she is just the sweetest girl you could ever meet. I think if she could talk, she would say she won the doggie lottery.
