Hi everyone…my name is Bo and I’m a 7-year-old boy. Since I met the good people at GR, my life has been totally transformed. I used to live in a place called a breeding farm in a small room/kennel and didn’t know what house living was all about. WOW!!! What a fantastic invention a home is. I do love my new life but everything is so different to me that I am still a bit timid and nervous with anything new (which is just about everything). Having said that, I am making good progress. I now like living in the house particularly the family room. I’m not big on the leash yet but the harness is helping, although it is a bit of a rigmarole getting it on me. I love my food and my foster dad says “maybe I love it too much” (ha-ha). I am gentle with my treats so that’s good, right? I am not a big barker. You can touch me anywhere. I don’t like the vacuum cleaner and yet fireworks don’t bother me so I think I’m fine with most loud noises, just not new-fangled things like vacuums. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me and the other good news is that the doc says I’m healthy. I am fine with other dogs but I do need more socialization as I don’t have much canine experience although I love the wonderful golden doodle I am currently living with. I love people but I am still a bit shy around new folks I meet. Here’s what my amazing foster mom says about me: “Everything is new to Bo. Once he accepts you, he is such a dear, sweet boy. He is a follower, not a leader. I think it’s too late in his life to change that. If you want a sweet companion, give him a chance. He will definitely repay you tenfold.”
