Hi everybody! My name is Simon and this is my brother Garfunkel. I know, I know. It’s pretty cool that the other Simon & Garfunkel were named after us. Maybe that’s why we love their songs so much. Personally, I think it’s because of the lyrics. ‘Homeward bound…I wish I was, homeward bound’. That’s exactly what Garfunkel and I are wishing for. You see, the wonderful GR folks rescued us a while ago and we are with a delightful foster family who are looking after us. We are two senior boys ~ around 9 years old. We have been around the block so we know most of your human ways and are superstars with our commands. We both have a zest for life and do not have an aggressive bone in our body. But, speaking about bones, Garfunkel has this thing called Cushing’s disease so he needs to have medicine for it. He’s got a thyroid issue too. His medicine costs a few bones a month but he happily asks that you put his bones in the money jar to help with the cost. I will happily donate mine too because I love my brother sooo much! We love our walkies and are pretty good on the leash. We love romping around the backyard too ~ and it’s even more fun if you play with us. I’m okay if you have to go out without us, but Garfunkel…not so much. Our foster mom describes us as ‘Golden beauties full of love and affection who love all humans big and small…especially the small ones’. I am really not interested in other dogs too much. As long as I have my brother and you to love, life is paw-fect! Garfunkel, on the other hand, gets pretty excited and seems to forget all his manners. Other than that, we are gentle with our treats. You can touch us anywhere. Loud noises don’t bother us. Believe me when I say we are no trouble. Our foster mom says I am the sweetest boy with a big soft head perfect for squishing and kissing. My brother loves to be loved and has the best sense of humour. He invented this game call ‘Hide mom’s shoe’. He would love to play it with you. Our needs are small but our hearts are huge.
