Hi everyone! My name is Elsa and I’m 1.5 years old. My beloved rescuer has translated this for me from ‘dog’ to English so if she gets the odd word wrong, please be tolerant. You see, when I was found, I was literally starving. Before my rescue angel contacted Golden Rescue to see if they would take me into their program, she cleaned me up and fed me and fed me and fed me. She said I literally couldn’t stop eating. I sure remember that! I have put on some well-needed weight and I am all clean, brushed up, and fresh-smelling. I feel SO good. Now, let me tell you a bit about myself. I love all humans and all my canine cousins. I’m even kind to cats. The doc says I’m healthy and I don’t have any behavioral (wow, big word) issues that need fixing. I am on the smaller side and I have medium energy…so I can adapt if you like to exercise a lot or if you simply like to chill. Either way…I’m your girl. The wonderful folks at GR have described me as sweet and gentle. Maybe that’s why my favourite song is ‘Gentle On My Mind’. In fact, the first verse kind of suits my situation:
“It’s knowing that your door is always open
And your path is free to walk
That makes me tend to leave my sleeping bag rolled up
And stashed behind your couch”
I don’t have a sleeping bag though. I just used to find a warm place to sleep under a tree or on a grate but you get the idea (teehee).
