  • Needs training & a calm, active, patient family
  • Likes dogs but sometimes is cautious ~ a playful buddy would be great

Hi everybody my name is Gold and I’m a 10-month-old boy. That’s right…I’m a Golden pup full of the joys of spring. I have many nicknames like Speedy Gonzales, Red Bull, Goldie, The Energizer Bunny, and Fast & Furious. But you can call me what you want ~ just don’t call me late for dinner (bada-bing-bada-boom). Yes, I am young and I have a lot to learn but I absolutely love life and everything in it. My foster mom says that I “see beauty everywhere”! I love people and other dogs and even cats are probably fine but I’m probably too rambunctious for little kids right now as one of the things I do that needs training is jumping up on people. I’m much better but it’s still a work-in-progress. I can be a bit cautious with dogs I don’t know. I’m not aggressive at all…just wary at times, particularly if I’m on the leash. Speaking of the leash, I’m not too bad on it except when I smell something very interesting, then you’d better hang on as I might take you on a ride. I am learning my commands but before I met my amazing foster family, my schooling was lacking so I have a lot of catching up to do although I am fully house-trained. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere. Loud noises don’t bother me and you can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. I love my walks and I LOVE playing fetch ~ I could play it for hours. The doc says I’m a healthy boy except I have a minor heart murmur, which she isn’t worried about as long as I have this stuff called ‘taurine’ in my food (which doesn’t sounds appetizing). Well, that’s about it for me. I don’t have a lot of experiences I can share with you yet as I’m so young but I have to tell you that I love this life and all the people in it. It’s simply supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Pretty big word for a little tyke like me, eh?
