Hi everyone…my name is Lucky and I’m a 3.5-year-old Flatcoat Retriever. I am a big hunk of burning love. At 110 pounds soaking wet, with a stunning black ebony colour, I make quite a statement. I have been described as one of the handsomest Flatcoat Retrievers GR has ever seen. Ah shucks! I was supposed to travel with my other pals from Antigua but it turns out that I’m too big to fly by plane so I’m being airlifted to Miami and then I’m travelling by car to Canada. I am a gentle giant though (think ‘Hoss Cartwright’…unless you’re too young to remember who he was), who loves people and other dogs so you don’t have to worry about a thing. The only baggage I have is a thing you call heartworm. The doc says it’s 100% curable and not contagious but it is around a three-month process during which time I have to remain relatively calm. And, there will be a number of trips to the vet required. I am so sorry you have to do this for me ~ I don’t like being troublesome. It won’t be too hard to keep me quiet during this time as I’m a pretty chill boy to start with. Well, that’s my very short story. Might you have space for me in your heart and home. I realize the space would have to be on the larger scale but believe me, when I cuddle into a ball, you will hardly notice. How’s that for a snow job? And speaking of snow, I can’t wait!!!
