Hello, hello…my name is Rosie and I’m 11 years old. Yes, some might call me a senior Golden but I still have lots of juice left in me yet. In fact, when I came into Golden Rescue’s program, I was a bit overweight and had some thyroid issues that slowed me down. Now that I’m on a diet and thyroid medication, it has really perked me up. Of course, my wonderful foster mom is looking after all this and I have to admit I feel great. You don’t have to worry about me as I totally understand all your human ways and I know what’s expected of me. After all, being around for 11 years I have seen it all. I do love people, other dogs, and children. I might even be okay with cats because I don’t really have a prey drive. Never saw the point of chasing critters that were faster than me. See, that’s pure wisdom that comes with age! You can touch me anywhere. I am gentle with my treats. Loud noises don’t bother me and I hope they don’t bother you because I snore (sorry about that!). You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me but I would prefer your company. I am actually really good on the leash overall. I do pull to get into the car because I’m excited but on a walk I’m a star. I do love my walks and still have lots of energy but I also love being a couch potato
if that’s what you’d prefer. Perhaps my favourite thing is mornings. I love getting up to greet the day! So, if you’re a morning person, this might be a match made in heaven.
