  • Beautiful, loving girl ~ still very much a puppy
  • Nervous in new situations ~ needs to settle in
  • Has a bit of resource guarding (so no small kids for now)
  • Would benefit from someone home more often than not
  • A secure yard and a play buddy would be ideal but not essential
  • Not crazy about getting in the car but settles quickly
  • Not cat tested

Hi everybody…my name is Addie and I’m a 1.5-year-old girl. When I arrived at GR’s door, I was pretty nervous and anxious, had some hair loss, and was pretty protective and snappy (resource guarding) around any possession I had. It didn’t take me long to understand that my amazing foster dad only wanted the best for me. Once I understood that, I started to relax. I can still get nervous in new situations and I still protect my stuff but I’m getting better at that every day as I grow more confident. I love people and other dogs and I like children too but I can jump up when I get excited so between that and some guarding, it would be best not to have any young children around for now. I am still basically a pup so I have lots of puppy energy to burn. So, if you are an active family, I would fit in nicely. I am learning my commands so it would be good if you were to continue with my training as I am still a work-in-progress, especially with that leash thing. You can touch me anywhere. I don’t like loud noises but I don’t freak either. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me but I’m way less nervous if my humans are around. The doc tells me I’m a healthy girl. My foster dad says I have come a long way since I met him and I have calmed down a lot. I’m becoming more confident every day. Here’s how he describes me now: ”Addie is a beautiful loving girl who can still get anxious but with the right family and training, she will make someone very happy.” Might that someone be you?
