Hi everybody…my name is Prince and I’m 5 years old. When I first met the wonderful people at Golden Rescue, I was very timid and afraid. I didn’t know what was going on but it didn’t take me long to understand that I am loved. I am still a little timid in new situations and with new noises; however, with the help of my amazing foster family, I have come a long way in the ‘nervous nelly’ department. I am a big boy and I’m told I need to lose 10 to 15 lbs. and everyone chuckles at me trying to be a lap dog. I’m okay with a weight-loss program because I enjoy the exercise and the doc says I’m 100% healthy otherwise, so I’m up for the challenge. I am pretty well trained although I still need some more work on the leash thingmajig. I am gentle with my treats. You can certainly touch me anywhere. I am not a big barker and my general confidence level is growing daily. I love all humans and other dogs, although I generally just like to do my own thing. I love attention and the more the better, so my foster mom thinks it would be best if I am the only pet in the home for now. Here’s what my foster dad says about me: “Prince is simply a great boy and will become your best friend in a very short time”. I would love to become your best friend. I have a confession though…I’m a terrible prince. I should put my kingdom first and everything else second, but you’re the only ones who matter to me as I want you by my side every second.

Prince is currently being fostered West of the Montreal, QC area.  If you would like more information about Prince please call our hot-line toll-free at 1-866-712-8444 or email and one of our volunteers will be happy to return your call.
