Hi everybody…my name is Buddy and I’m a one-year-old. I came from northern Manitoba and you could call me a Golden-wannabe. I probably am a Husky-Shepherd mix…but I’m a rose by any other name, right? Golden Rescue was SO kind to take me in as I had very few options. My life until now has been rough and scary and I have some scars on my body from dog packs in the north who killed my best friend. I hid under a trailer for ages. Incredibly, I still like other dogs unless they don’t like me (then I become timid). I’m probably never going to like going to a dog park but dogs in smaller doses are great. I love ALL people. I am house-trained and really good on the leash and am getting the hang of all your other human ways. I am not a big barker. Loud noises don’t bother me. You can touch me anywhere. You can leave me alone if you have to go out without me and since my ‘neuter’ operation, the doc says I’m healthy. I have been described as a bit of a Velcro dog; however, if I see a rabbit or squirrel, I would totally lose my ears…so a fenced yard would be ideal. I love my foster family who describe me as “a loving boy who will make someone a great best friend”.
