  • Affectionate & loving

Hello…my name is Riley and I’m a 5.5-year-old boy. I was very stressed and anxious when I first met the fantastic people at Golden Rescue but now, thanks to my amazing foster family, I’ve calmed down a lot and am living the ‘Life of Riley’ (ha-ha, get it?). I still have some separation anxiety and don’t like it if you leave me alone but I am much more relaxed now knowing I’m surrounded by kind, loving, and caring people. I love every human I meet and I love female dogs (big or small) but I’m not so good with male or dominant dogs. For example, I walk beautifully on the leash but if I see a male dog, all bets are off. I’m the same if I see a squirrel, so it’s not likely that I can live with a cat. If you can keep me away from distractions, I am a perfect walker. I am gentle with my treats. Loud noises don’t bother me. You can certainly touch me anywhere and the doc says I’m a healthy boy. When I’m in the house, I’m a big love bug couch potato. When I’m outside, I love running around in the backyard and I can be a bit of an escape artist so a secure fenced yard is crucial. Here’s what my foster mom says about me: ”Riley is a very caring boy. If you sneeze, he will run to make sure you’re all right. He is a very affectionate and a big cuddle-bug who is a puppy at heart.” I’d like to have my Life of Riley with you, if you’d take me?
