HI everybody…my name is Honey and I’m a 14-year-old Golden/Husky mix. I have lived a good life and have been loved and cared for but my lovely owner had to go to a place to be cared for and I couldn’t go along. So, the good people at Golden Rescue have taken me in and I now live with my amazing foster mom who is simply the bees-knees. She often looks at me, smiles, and sings a mixed-up version of that Monks song Great Legs, Shame About the Face except she sings Great Face, Shame About the Legs. There’s nothing wrong with my legs ~ well, my back end is a little weak but that’s due to my age. It’s just that when I lie down, my legs look wonky.

Who knows how long I’ll be around; however, I sure would appreciate a little space in your heart and home for me. My favourite pastime is sitting on the porch watching the world go by. My eyes are still good but I can’t hear too well, but worry not, I still remember all the world’s lovely sounds. I am on some daily medication, but who isn’t at my age? As much as I love people, I am a bit grumpy around dogs and I tend to guard my food so being the only pet in the family is a must. I am gentle with my treats. You can touch me anywhere (except my paws). Loud noises don’t bother me because I can’t really hear them (teehee). I am not a big barker and you can leave me alone if you have to go out without me. Well, that’s my story. I hope we might be able to meet soon. You can’t miss me. I’m the nice girl with the ‘great face’ sitting on the porch watching the world go by.
