Dan Cummings with Adelle #2241

After his retirement in 2013, Dan was looking for something interesting to do when not golfing. A friend introduced him to GR and he was fascinated with the many volunteer opportunities. Dan chose fostering and his knack for training became immediately useful as his first foster, Chloe, was a difficult case.

After several weeks, Chloe’s whole demeanor improved with Dan’s patience and care and she was ready for her forever family. Since then, Dan has successfully fostered many Goldens, some with behavioural issues. One of Dan’s most rewarding experience, however, was fostering one of the Istanbul Goldens, sweet Adelle, and being part of the convoy of volunteers that went to JFK to pick them up. He was very happy being chosen to be the first one to open the crates of all 18 tail-wagging Goldens.

We are so happy that Dan found us as he is worth his weight in gold!
