Fundraising Team Members

Hi everyone…my name is Abbey #3358 and I’m a four-year-old Golden. My
favourite people on earth, the folks at Golden Rescue, have asked me to speak to
you. You see, Golden Rescue has saved over 3,500 of my cousins and they are a
100% volunteer organization with no staff, no offices, and no overhead…so all the
money they raise goes directly to us Goldens. The average cost to put one Golden
through their program is $1,700. That is a lot of bones. So apart from rescuing
us, their biggest challenge and most important work is fundraising. We are
looking for people to join our fundraising team who are comfortable calling
companies and asking for sponsorships or finding other ways individuals or
corporations could help. We need people who are not shy and not afraid ‘to ask’
and roll up their sleeves (whatever that means). We could use people with
different skills to find out where you might help. You would get lots of support
from the team and the board of directors but you would need to bring your own
passion, enthusiasm, and belief in our good work. If you think you could help and
make a difference in the lives of future Goldens who so desperately need Golden
Rescue, please contact our Director of Fundraising (and my mom), Laurie by
applying today. Thank you and woof-woof!

Estimated time commitment ~ 10+ hours per month

Virtual Events Coordinator

Do you have experience with planning and executing virtual events? With most of our “live” fundraising events being cancelled for the foreseeable future with the current pandemic, we are looking for creative ways to take our events online and into the digital world.

We are looking for someone with experience who can help us set up and run online fundraising events. If you are interested in this role, please apply and include your experience in this field ~ platforms used, successful past events, or any other information you feel is relevant.

As a member of this team the time commitment is totally up to you! You can choose to join us for a short time to help us get virtual events up and running, or you can decide to stay on with us and perhaps build and lead the team!
