Canada’s Dog Ban: Click here to find out how you can help.
Sarah and Richard with Corduroy

Richard and Sarah joined our foster team three years ago after hearing from friends who were GR fosters how badly we needed foster families. Since then, they have fostered four amazing Goldens. Sarah works with the Northumberland County St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dog program and their own furbaby, Corduroy, has been a therapy dog for seven years. Corduroy is also an amazing assistant in the fostering process welcoming all new rescues with care, compassion, and a selfless ability to share.

Some of their recent fosters came from shelters with no name nor history and have needed surgery so their local supporting vets have played a major role in their recent success stories. Richard and Sarah are impressed and thankful for all the help they received from the transport, intake, and placement teams. They say rescuing these wonderful Goldens takes a village and they are so happy to play a role. On behalf of the Golden Rescue Village we couldn’t be happier for your positivity and care.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your tireless efforts.
