Canada’s Dog Ban: Click here to find out how you can help.

Liz discovered Golden Rescue online and got involved by adopting her beloved Duke #2026, who became the perfect companion for their other Golden, Tara. Impressed with Golden Rescue, when Liz retired, she volunteered and started to foster. She was a ‘foster failure’ when her family adopted Riley #2563. Soon after that, Liz moved to New Brunswick, which in many ways was fortunate for GR as it helps our efforts to expand nationally and we can only do it with dedicated volunteers in various provinces. Liz has been an integral member of the intake team since February 2018 and is responsible for bringing many needy Goldens into the program and her joy is seeing them get their happily-ever-after. She describes Golden Rescue as a well-oiled machine! Liz has also rescued a Corgi and a Poodle and both her Goldens have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Although she is golden-less at the moment, she says her work with Golden Rescue is a form of paying it forward for the precious boys she adopted. Thank you, Liz ~ you are worth your weight in ‘gold’.
