Laurie Beaton
Laurie and her family were introduced to GR when they decided to adopt. They adopted Abby #3093 (who incidentally is on this issue’s cover) ~ an international Golden beauty from Cairo. Abby has become an amazing sister to Laurie’s other Golden, Bentley. When they met Abby at the airport, it was love at first sight and their tears of joy filled the terminal. Abby and Bentley have become the best of friends and enjoy camping with the family so it’s safe to say that Abby immediately became an integral part of their family. Laurie reached out to Golden Rescue to see what she could do to help. Apart from volunteering at awareness and media events, she joined the social media and photography teams and helps with the Wishbone Lottery. Laurie recently did physical-distancing, front-porch family portraits and donated all the money to Golden Rescue. Abby’s mom is certainly a huge advocate and a passionate volunteer. We are lucky and grateful to be working alongside you.
