Canada’s Dog Ban: Click here to find out how you can help.

Cathy has always been a Golden lover. In 2019, one week prior to her 14th birthday, her beloved Golden Chloe crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Her work with Golden Rescue, which she started in 2018, helped fill the hole that Chloe left in her heart. Cathy started doing home visits and transports and a couple of years ago she joined the placement team, which she has taken on with great fervor. In 2019, Cathy and her husband adopted Charlie #3074. A year or so prior to that, her daughter flew from Halifax to adopt Tilley #2849, a traumatized little girl who is now a wonderful, goofy character living a carefree loving life. Cathy helps in many other ways like fundraising and helping with airport arrivals. She never says no to a challenge or a Golden in need and is quoted as saying, “I decided to volunteer for an organization that I am truly passionate about as Goldens are very near and dear to my heart”. How lucky are we that Cathy chose to volunteer with us!
