Katie McDade
Katie is the loving mom of Barnaby #3469. She started volunteering with Golden Rescue in January 2021, a few months after the loss of her sweet Golden boy, Bennet. She was looking for a way to help heal from his loss so she offered to help where she could and to connect with other Golden lovers during a time of social isolation with Covid-19. Volunteering with Golden Rescue turned out to be the perfect fit! She started as a team of one conducting virtual home visits for all potential fosters and adopters and now coordinates home visits with a team of seven other wonderful volunteers! She is also a member of the education outreach team. Katie is a wonderful supporter ~ warm, positive, and approachable. She even sponsored a recent Cairo pup Bennett #4193. We are so lucky to have Katie in our corner ~ thank you Katie!
