Nena Stanekovic
When the world came to a halt a few years ago, Nena wanted to do something useful with the extra time she had on her hands. She has always loved Goldens and knew Golden Rescue as a terrific organization that aligned with her values. With everyone stuck at home, Nena decided to help by creating virtual trivia nights to help fundraising and bring together Golden lovers throughout the pandemic. Soon after that, she helped run the 50-50 raffle and has really enjoyed calling winners to let them know how thankful we are for their donations. Nena started at GR when she was an undergraduate. She is now entering her third year of veterinary school. She plans on adopting one of our Goldens when she graduates. We’re certain her adoption application will get top priority.
